Mohamed Afdhal, Fakhreddine Zouari and Khalil Slimi, three young Tunisians bundled in the startup specialised in big data, Map My Tunisian, created under the bosom of the incubator ESPRIT 2015, have developed a tool displaying useful information to improve traffic in Tunisia. In that end, they developed an algorithm which, coupled with the geo-tracking technology Open Street Map, sorts and interprets information automatically saved by built-in sensors (orientation, light, speed, sound, GPS..) in drivers' smartphones. Hence, the concept of Map My Tunisia differs from the Israelian navigation application and community traffic application it got its inspiration from, because no contribution is required from the users. Information is automatically sent in real-time.
