Trend Solar was founded in 2014 with a mission to bring next-generation solutions for off-grid users in developing countries. It was founded by two British entrepreneurs, Irfan Mirza and Matt Tam, who share a vision of using technology to help people at the Bottom of the Pyramid empower their own lives. Headquartered in Tanzania, Trend Solar designs, distributes and finances a range of solar systems from 70Wh systems aimed at low-income households to 32Kw all-in one mini-grid systems.
