Project description
The AgriGO application, developped by the Rwandan company GO, helps farmers improving their agricultural returns thanks to customised SMS in local languages. The farmers subscribed to the AgriGO service are notified on the evolution of the prices of foodstuff to better negotiate their sales while knowing all the necessary elements. They also receive advice on cultivation techniques that could help them optimise their production. The information is transferred to the farmers via the USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) technology: there's no need for an Internet connection or a smartphone to receive this data.
