Project description
Rwanda wants to install its first telecommuncations satellite. This project originates from an alliance between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Its purpose is to become independent in the telecommunications sector and connect rural zones and remote areas in the country, improve the national territory monitoring, meteorological control and military communications.
