Project description
Africalab is a Pan-African startup that aims at revolutionise people's transportation in Sub-Saharan Africa. The facts are simple: despite a significant economic development, these last years, the different countries of sub-Saharan Africa struggle to provide modern, safe and comfortable means of transport.Based on the fact that connecting Brazzaville and Abidjan would be complicated, despite the fact that he'd have to do that exact same trip to go and meet his wife-to-be, the Congolese Vangsy Goma launches Africab in Abidjan in January 2016 whose mission is to act as a bridge between economic growth and urban development. The startup provides with an offer of medium and top range transportation of people, with a 24/7 service. This service is equipped with a geo-tracking system as well as a credit card payment method, and provides its users with a mobile application that allows them to book their trip while telling the spot at which their driver is supposed to fectch them. Africalab is currently present in Cotonou (Benin) and Lome (Togo), besides Abidjan, and plans on expanding on the entire continent.
