Project description
The Anti-Delestron system was thought by the Open Burkina organisation to inform inhabitants of Ouagadougou before the happening of reduced-service periods, that's to say power failures. Thanks to an electric consumption monitoring system per zone in real-time, as well as the collection of data via sensors displayed throughout the entire city, Anti-Delestron is able to alert inhabitants via SMS or email whenever the level of consumption before de reduced-service is about to be reached so that everybody lowers their consumption and takes necessary provisions to face any temporary power failure. Thanks to the sensors, the system is able to produce electricity consumption maps in the city. Anti-Delestron is a step towards energetic efficiency, among the ICTs.
