Project description
Despite traffic jams that cripple Antananarivo, young emerging startup programmers propose a technological solution: the Betaksys system. It allows riparians to monitor the conditions of the traffic jam. This system targets car drivers as well as public transports users. In Antananarivo, two hours long waiting queues form for users to take the bus, and no one is ever sure as to which transport will be the last one of the day. Thanks to Betaksys System, it is possible to geo track the 4 000 vehicles circulating in the city and dispose of precise information thanks to sensors positionned in buses and along the bus line. The server reads the information in real-time and relays it on billboards disposed on bus shelters, on dedicated web sites and mobile applications. Orange Madagascar formed a partnership with Betaksys for it to access its 3G and 4G networks.
