Cookielabs

Drones for cocoa culture

Project description

CookieLabs is an Ivorian startup that uses the Internet of Things and drones to protect cocoa plantations from the Swollen shoot virus. The Swollen shoot virus infects more than 300,000 cocoa plants a year and has disastrous consequences for plantation yield. CookieLabs uses cognitive algorithms of shape recognition and signature, prediction and intelligence, to detect symptoms of Swollen parasite infections, identify outbreaks of infections and predict the evolution of the epidemic. Thanks to its iaVISION product, CookieLabs wants to increase the production of parcels, from 450kg / ha on average to more than 700 kg / ha per year.
