The technological application branded Daral is made available to Senegalese breeders. It consists of two web and SMS platforms working with a centralised data base. It aims at using technology to combat cattle rustling the expansion of epizootics. Amadou Sow, its founder, has developed the platform thanks to the Ministry of Breeding, the Ministry of Telecommunications, the organisation Coders4Africa and Microsoft. The leading phase of its deployment is launched on the 28th of January, 2014, in Passy. The tweb interface allows for collectin and viewing data related to breeders and their cattle. The mobile one offers them the possibility to interact with vets and agents of their locality, in case of epidemic alert or cattle rustling. When it was launched a "Media Library" module for awareness through videos realised by breeders themselves, in local languages on main diseases, was provided.
