Project description
The Seychelles Archipelago was incorporated into the climatic events monitoring network through the installation of a GPS station. It thus predicts the development of cyclonic activities. The remote station is controlled by Météo France and the Laboratory of Atmosphere and Cyclones of the University of Reunion Island. Such stations exist already in Reunion Island, Madagascar, Comoros, and Mauritius. The three years-long project is funded by the European Union up to 2,4 million dollars.
