Irembo, the one-stop portal for e-Government services, is an initiative by the Government of Rwanda aiming at improving its service delivery to the citizens and businesses. Its role as a platform is the provision of Government services online with ease, efficiency and reliability. Launched in 2015, Irembo is currently hosting 88 Government services online for citizens and businesses, including Mutuelle (Community-Based Health Insurance), Laissez-Passer, CEPGL and other Immigration & Emmigration Services. Irembo also uses USSD, or unstructured supplementary service data, to enable those with no Internet connection to access its services through basic mobile phones.
