Project description
Renew the worn out vehicle fleet of taxis with meters, professionalise the taxi field, improve the users' experience, propose a smart and alternative urban mobility solution in the Ivorian capital, and also take part of the precess of digital transformation and smart city. This is as many reasons as to why the Road Transport Fund Development (FDTR) of Ivory Coast acquired connected vehicles in 2017 dedicated to an on demand urban transportation. Thanks to a partnership between this governmental organism and the car dealer CFAO motors, Abidjan equipped itself with a hundred smart cars (Toyota Yaris model), synchronised to a mobile application, air-conditionned and consisting of GPS+ geo-tracking tablets, Wi-Fi network and tablets for users, allowing them to watch movies and listen to music during their trip. Emphasis was placed on security as each driver and vehicle is identified. When it comes to the payment, passengers are able to perform it with their credit card, cash, mobile payment and QR code.
