Project description
Single African Network is a project by Tata Communications and Africa Development Solutions (ADS Group) that facilitates the development of a powerful multi-country connectivity infrastructure network in West Africa. This project also aims to maintain the communication traffic of African countries within the continent in order to improve the quality, efficiency and profitability of communication services in Africa by keeping in Africa the revenue generated by local calls and roaming costs. The first phase of which will be carried out in West Africa through Mali, Sierra Leone and Guinea will allow to interconnect the countries so as to drastically reduce communication costs. By 2021, this platform will be joined by Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia. This will be a fundamental step towards affordable broadband access and interconnection of the sixteen countries of the sub-region before this momentum is extended to East Africa.
